Thank you for your interest in becoming Chief Executive of Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH).

We are a large and diverse organisation, with 7,000 dedicated colleagues providing mental health and addiction services in more than 100 sites across five boroughs, and specialist services regionally.

Over the past two years, we have addressed serious failings with honesty and determination, strengthening our leadership, renewing our culture, and making substantial progress, reflected in our exit from NHS England’s Recovery Support Programme. We are now moving forward with confidence, driven by our vision to create great places for care and great places to work, and guided by our commitment to compassionate, community-focused, and high‑quality services.

We are seeking an exceptional, values‑driven Chief Executive to lead the next phase of our improvement journey. You’ll bring senior leadership within a similarly complex setting, a strong track record of transformation, and the credibility to build trusted, collaborative relationships across our organisation and system. Above all, you’ll share our determination to deliver safe, equitable care, and to creating a culture where colleagues feel supported and empowered.
